In Maths we are making sure we understand place value, addition and subtraction and fractions (we will include money, length, weight and capacity within these'. We are using lots of equipment and images to help with this. We will then use this knowledge to solve problems and calculations. We enjoy maths as there are lots of ways to solve the problems and we can use the equipment around us in our classroom.
We are starting a new topic called 'The Earth our Home' linking with the science curriculum we will be learning about, animals including humans, and living things and their habitats.

When you are reading with your child please ask questions about what your child is reading and their opinions on the book as well as signing their reading jotters.
Examples of questions include:
- What is your favourite part of the story?
- Why do you like think a character did that?
