Parents' Community Room

The Community Room is situated at the back of the school next to the visitor's car park. It was built by Trident as a place for community activities to take place. Mrs Lock the Parental Involvement Worker is based here.

The Community Room runs a varied programme of courses and activities for adults. Maths and English classes are for adults to improve their own skills and gain qualifications. These classes are open to the wider community. Other classes are for recreational purposes for parents to learn new skills and socialise e.g. crafts and aromatherapy.

Finally we run some classes and one off sessions for parents to be more involved in their child's education. Some sessions aim to provide information only whilst others offer parents the opportunity to do an activity with their child.

For more information on any of the above please see Diane Lock.

All the above classes are open to members of the Community, who meet Bradford College or WEA eligibility criteria, and not just parents of children in St Matthew’s. See Mrs Lock for more information.

Information on new courses/activities will be sent out via green letters.
